Nopublic Plugins for Elgg

I have had several requests for the Higherwalls plugin with out the walled garden functionality. I decided to make the plugin with two flavors.

The original version also overrode the owner’s block so that the links to create RSS and OpenDD feeds were deleted. I created another version that retains the ability to click on the links to get the feeds.

Again, to totally disable the feeds, you will need to go to your elgg/views folder and delete the rss and opendd folders.

    Hi Steve,

I’m interested in the no public with feeds plugin, but the link to nopublicewithfeeds.zip is giving me a 404 error.

    Thanks!

    Hi Steve,

I’ve installed nopublicwithfeeds, but “public” is still an option for users. Any idea why this could be? I have Elgg 1.2 installed.

This plug in is exactly what we needed, by the way, thank you for your contribution!

    My best.

    Hi John–

I have not tested this with 1.2 yet. I’ll take a look when I get a chance–but I’m kind of in survival mode with all the snow and difficult weather we have had. I’ll set up a test install today and give things a look.

Right now, snow removal and shoveling roofs before the freezing rain on Wednesday.
