That being said, they have been running an Elgg 1.5 test site for a few weeks before porting the community to Elgg 1.5. I would say that it has been stable in the time that I worked with it. Most of the improvements have been enhancements suggested by the beta testers and working though Internet Explorer issues. I certainly understand your concern about the Elgg community. Very excited about the media embed as this was a major short coming of Elgg in previous versions. Hopefully it remains intact in the final version. Elgg has certainly come a long way! I do disapprove of the way that the community site is used as a sandbox to test new features though. We need the thing to be stable.
